280 SL Pagoda as a restoration example
The 230 SL was the world's first sports car with an innovative safety body, and the further developed 280 SL rolled off the production line from 1968 to 1971. Visually, the inwardly curved, removable coupé roof designed by Paul Braque is reminiscent of the curved roofs of Asian temples - and the "Pagode" was born. BRABUS is now reviving this legend with the unique 6-star restoration.
True to original
The true to original reconstruction is a matter close to our hearts: the professional bodywork overhaul according to factory standards and the perfect paintwork in the original color of the time are just as much a part of this as the re-chroming of original bumpers and chrome strips. The engine, drivetrain and chassis components are reconditioned using original parts. At the end of the restoration process, the vehicle shines as it did fresh from the production hall.
Attention to detail
The underbody is also painted in the original color. Everything is carefully and thoroughly restored to new condition. Finally, a complete sealant ensures optimum protection. In addition, the interior is finished in the same color and surface in our in-house saddlery.
